With the advent of time lapse photography, Bobby Jones ventured into the studio to have his swing photographed. Unlike the intimate moments with Anthony Ravielli as they worked side by side pencil to sketch pad, the lens of the camera has become the collaborator.
As with today’s new digital MetaVerse, technology enters the art and sports world. Offering new ways to capture the lessons and wisdom of legends, film and the negative became the palate from which Bobby Jones swing lived on. The pixel, now exaggerated and colorful, takes a moving moment and stops it in time. Harkening the days of Henri Cartier-Bresson, the renowned French photographer, known for finding what he called the “decisive moment,” “Shadow Impact” finds the moment in time when Bobby Jones connects with the ball.
